This week’s post talks about strategies on how to stay motivated when it comes to weight loss.

❗️ Why it is important to understand and to accept that weight loss journeys are hard and will

have many ups and downs.

❗️ It’s never straightforward or easy like it’s often portrayed on social media.

❗️ Everyone progresses at their own individual pace.

Here are 4 simple guidelines to keep us moving in the right direction.

1️⃣ What is your ‘WHY’?

Why do you want to lose weight? Regardless if it’s for superficial or long-term health reasons

you need to write it down. Make it real.

2️⃣ Be goal specific

Be clear and have conviction in what you want to achieve. Do not write in general terms, be

as specific as you can.

✅ I WILL lose 30kg this year. ❌ I WANT to lose 30kg this year

3️⃣ Start small with daily wins

Get the momentum rolling by doing something every day that is a positive habit-forming task

that moves you closer to your goal. Bigger is not always better!

4️⃣ Don’t be a solo act

Create a support network of training buddies and friends to help you stay motivated when

times are tough. Being accountable to others will keep you going because you know you are

not alone.
