Continuing on from last week’s post about ways in which to help us achieve the goals that we set out for ourselves.
This week, I think the important take home message needs to be…
WHY DO I NEED… TO NOT COMPARE MYSELF TO ANYONE ELSE?
⁉️ Why am I not getting the results like him and I’m doing the same?
⁉️ Why is she getting fitter when I am working out longer and harder?
⁉️ I’m eating the same diet and still not losing weight?
The answer is simple…. What may work for one person, may not work for you.
It’s important to understand that you are on your own personal journey and
cannot compare it with anyone else.
1️⃣ Everyone has different circumstances that they are dealing with in their lives. Work, Family and Social responsibilities.
2️⃣ Everyone has started their journeys at different times. So some maybe well ahead and have found their groove while others may just be starting out and still figuring out what works and what doesn’t work for them.
3️⃣ Some people have incredible genetics and can gain or lose weight quickly and more easily than others.
4️⃣ Social media, magazine transformation posts may not be genuine. Photoshop, filters etc maybe used to alter the visuals. Take it all in with a pinch of salt.
5️⃣ As long as you are progressing in a positive direction, know that you are on the right path. FYI… Quick, fast results tend to be fleeting.
So don’t compare yourself to anyone else’s journey or goals. Focus on being consistent, working hard and getting good sleep and eating well. You follow these things and you will achieve your goals I promise!
